Nancy Larson Science: challenging for students, easy for teachers
Principal Sarah Schecter understands the constraints her teachers at The Oakridge School, a private school in Arlington, Texas, are under. Last fall she introduced Nancy Larson Science 2 and Science 3. “We love that the information in the Nancy Larson Science program is challenging and age-appropriate yet easy for teachers to implement,” said Dr. Schecter.

“Parents love Nancy Larson Science because it brings a sense of joy to students. Learning science is fun,” said Schecter. Parents at The Oakridge School say they appreciate that their children are learning as they go along in class, so when it comes to the test, the knowledge is already in their heads.

Students become specialists
Schecter says the lessons’ methodology makes the students feel like specialists. The program goes into great detail to cover each topic. “When I’m in a classroom and the teacher says, ‘It’s time for science,’ the students get all excited and you just know it’s one of their favorite times of the day.”
