A perfect choice for classical schools

Nancy Larson Science K–5 works well with the classical education model.

Nancy Larson Science K–5 has a proven methodology that helps students develop critical thinking skills and builds a strong science foundation. This foundation is what is necessary for them to become successful in science in middle and upper grades as well as in science-based careers. Nancy Larson and her team of teachers designed it to be challenging, engaging, interactive, and fun.

Nancy Larson Science references great scientists of the past and teaches in a way that is developmentally appropriate yet rigorous. One of Nancy Larson’s gifts is her ability to make complex concepts accessible to young children. It is a success-oriented program where children develop a love of science, see and understand the beauty of the world around them, and become lifelong learners. It works well in a school where the goals are far more than just teaching to a test. Our goal is to produce students who understand the scientific method, develop critical thinking skills, learn how to ask appropriate questions, and make connections to the world around them. We expect them to go on to use these skills in their daily lives.

Nancy Larson Science is designed not only to teach science but also to reinforce reading concepts, make literature connections, and to increase scientific vocabulary. We also teach important study skills that are necessary and useful beyond science class.
