We all want to do new things and try new things! After a 30-year career in public education and 15 years as the author of the nationally successful Saxon Math K–4 programs, I embarked on a new adventure. In 2003 I decided to start my own publishing company, Nancy Larson Publishers, Inc., with the goal of providing engaging and challenging programs in other content areas beyond mathematics.

Throughout my career in education I have been privileged to work with excellent teachers who impart their love of learning to the children they teach. These teachers have served as my mentors and experts. Many of the same teachers that I worked with creating the Saxon Math K–4 programs continue to work with me on new projects. They understand the realities of today's classroom and the multitude of challenges teachers face.

In today's time-conscious environment teachers need effective programs that are easy to implement and rewarding to teach. The development teams at Nancy Larson Publishers believe we have accomplished this goal with our new Science 1–3 programs.

After four full years of nationwide field-testing of the Nancy Larson Science program in a variety of school settings with varied demographics, the children's knowledge and enthusiasm tell the story! The children's eagerness to learn science and their ability to understand and apply science concepts have amazed parents, teachers, and administrators.
